We are huge supporters of Motor Racing here at LED Group ROBUS and our customers are too so we are delighted to be sponsoring William and can’t wait to show our support when attending his 2018 races.
William is all set and ready to take 2018 by the horns or should we say the handlebars, after a successful but challenging year in 2017.
After a sabbatical of just one-year Lisburn businessman Tim Martin is stepping back into International road racing to help one of the country’s most talented riders fulfil his potential and fight for an Isle of Man TT victory. William Dunlop has endured a couple of lacklustre seasons with only sporadic glimpses of his unquestionable ability shining through. 2018, however, has brought a renewed enthusiasm for the sport generated from having a new team built around him with one simple focus – William Dunlop.
The thirty-two-year-old borrowed Martin’s Yamahas for 2017 and made a breakthrough at the Ulster Grand Prix after making significant electronic improvements during a test in England. Whilst the Ballymoney man eventually had to sit the event out due to injury he impressed during qualifying and became the first man to break the 200mph top speed barrier meaning thoughts immediately turned to 2018 potential and a possible new partnership.
For 2018 Dunlop will line up on the Temple Golf Club R1M Yamaha’s in the Superstock and Superbike categories as well as the Temple & Caffrey International R6 Yamaha in the Supersport class at all three International road races. The team will also take in the opening British Superbike rounds plus a few other events yet to be confirmed.
With the help of LED Group ROBUS sponsorship William now has the funds, he needs to support his passion and enable him to enjoy a super successful year in 2018! Here at LED Group ROBUS, we are delighted to be a part of his incredible journey.
